------------------------------------------------------------------

Interview with Leah l at FunkyLaser.com

1) What has been your key inspiration to your current career?
I started teaching technology a few years back and this is when my first love for laser cutting began. After taking time out to have my second daughter I thought it would be great to work but to be at full time parent too. My now husband offered to buy me laser cutter instead of an engagement ring , so that's when I got my first machine.  By the way I got the diamond ring too ! Lasering is an inspiration to be creative. People coming to us and asking for custom designs are truly inspiring.

2) What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Being creative , it's always been part of my life and having the opportunity to create something different for someone.

3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' moment?
That would have to be to have been self funded! Within a few weeks of starting up Funkylaser I had managed to save for a bigger laser cutter and within six months have stocked up a whole workshop full of lovely materials! To take on staff and student interns. Oh and most recently to have been asked to design something for a large UK cosmetics company - watch this space to find out what and who we made for!

4) Where do you see yourself in the future?
Expanding further - we recently moved from the back bedroom in our home into a designated work shop, I hope to employ more staff and for our trade mark to be world wide known.

5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the same career path as yourself?
Be creative , think outside of the box and to never give up.

6) Which would you say is your favourite item off your website at the moment?
Our name necklaces and cake toppers. There's nothing better a designer likes than to design custom pieces.

UniqueLoveStyle #PassionForFashion2 Entry

When I heard about the #PassionForFashion challenge I knew I wanted to test my adoration for style and of course affordability!
We are to create an outfit for under £200 for each of these categories; casual wear, party wear and holiday wear. Here are my attempts!

Outfit #1 - Casual Wear

Personally my style is usually vintage inspired and very feminine; I love all things lace and soft feeling and I adore this seasons trends of pastels and floral! This has been a big part of my casual wear outfit creation personally I'm a fan of wearing dresses and when the weather is warmer it's even more a better excuse to wear one! I found this stunning dusky pink peter pan collared dress, which is a complete bargain from George @ Asda! I've then teamed it up with a soft pastel embellished top/cardigan that can be draped over the top depending on the weather from Vero Moda. To match with the lace collar detailing from the dress I saw these beautiful laced boots that really make it more of a stand out I think! But they look so fun and girly at a reasonable price too. As for the accessories I like the more cute and dainty styles nothing too heavy so that there isn't too much going on with the outfit overall, but a nice blend in total; a floral detailed necklace and cute studs make it pretty as a picture! Lastly I spotted this cute warehouse bag, personally I feel for a casual look/day it is a great size and style too, great for holding or putting it over your shoulder keeping in all your essentials for the day ahead!

Outfit #2 - Party wear

I always get excited when it comes to glamming myself up for a party and this is an outfit that really reflects my passion for vintage yet still very subtle for an evening out! I've teamed up this stunning collared dress from New Look with a statement black cardigan just so there can be something to drape the shoulders depending on the weather and where the party is. If like me you adore a perfect vintage find from such places as Ebay and Etsy I accessorize this outfit with a 60s chic handbag and comfortable flat colour block shoes because as we dance the night away, we just want our feet to feel comfy!

Outfit #3 - Beach/Holiday wear

The last outfit I put together is mainly for beach/holiday wear. These pieces can be a mix and match with pretty pastels perfect for the season; I simply adored the powder blue flat sandals from Asos which I knew would be perfect when walking and seeing the sights. If it does get much warmer the shorts I chose are a denim style which also appear quite loose too, that is so much comfortable and doesn't cling to the skin. My favourite pick is the ever so retro peplum top, that is a very flattering style for many shapes; This can be worn over the top of the bikini I have chosen or just with the pretty pastel blue skinny leg jeans from New look and sandals. For that added protection from the heat the Roxy hat really stood out to me with the cute moustache picture it's key not just to feel great in what you wear but to keep yourself protected too!

4 products I shall inform you more about which I purchased with my own money, these really are amazing fragrances and have become my current Lush favourites!
Introducing Mumkin, Pop in the bath, The Carrot and Tulip.

-------------------------------------------------

Mumkin

This is such a complete adorable Bubble Bar which looks too cute to use! Basically you crumble her up under the tap which creates lots of fruity bubbles, as Mumkin has a raspberry sweet aroma it can make the water turn a pretty pink shade!

Pop In The Bath

This sweet Bubble Bar comes in 4 different colours and have the same blend of essential oils in this bar that's in The Olive Branch shower gel. It's such a cheerful Bar that has an uplifting scent as it contains mandarin and bergamot oils and orange flower absolute.

This is a palm sized product and is perfect to crumble so you can make much use out of it! This product costs £2.90 each so check out in store and choose which colour takes your fancy!

The Carrot
I was very excited to see that this luscious carrot bubble bar has come back for an appearance
this Easter! Last year I saw fellow YouTubers talk about this product and I really wanted to try it out as it of course looks such a fun way to bath!! I love the scent so much, it has
fruity essential oils of buchu, which has a lovely blackcurranty scent, together with lemon and bergamot to give this carrot an unexpectedly tropical touch.
For £4.95 You swish the carrot around in the water to create the fragrant bubbles that turns the bath water orange, or you can create the same effect by putting it under a running tap! These have been known to be used up to 10 times which makes it such good quantity for the price and a cheerful Easter gift!
Ingredients
Sodium Carbonate, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume,Sicilian Lemon Oil, Buchu Oil, Bergamot Oil,*Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 15510, Colour 45370,Colour 45410

--------------------------------------------------

Tulip

This is a bright and beautiful re-usable bubble bar want that I also got; It's a chocolate orange with added Yazu and Cocoa bubbleroom scent which just smells so refreshing! To use swish it around in the water for a few seconds – or until you’ve got enough bubbles in your tub. Then pop it on the side to use another time - these look particularly nice in a vase on the side. It goes rock hard until you’re ready to use it again!

For being able to use this so many times again after it's a reasonable price at £5.25 but that's not all..it's got seeds embedded in the paper! Just dig a little hole in your garden or in a soil-filled pot and pop the tag in whole. Give it a drink of water and sit back and let nature take its course. You'll be rewarded with some lovely wild flowers to bring a little colour to your garden this summer.
