Bubble Charms Review
Sparkly-Nails

So as some of you may have noticed, this is actually a very different topic for me to review on the blog. I'm not just obsessed with make-up but whenever I'm out nail varnish always catches my eye; whether it's nail effects, trending shades or glitter. I guess you could say this blog post will be the first of the Nail related posts!

I was just browsing the Bloggers hash-tag on Twitter when I came across this company, It seemed they were looking for Bloggers to work with and because I was willing to try new nail techniques out I applied for the opportunity.

Luckily I was accepted onto their Blogging Scheme, and here are their Bubble charms which they kindly sent for me to review for you all!

I was sent these two packs of x2 Bubble Charms. The first pack was the Pink Dove Oval Nail Bubble Charms, and the second was the Leopard Print Bow Bubble Charms.
These charms indeed have that complete 4d effect, they also included a small tube of nail glue to ensure that the charm would last longer on the nail.

As you can see from above I practised my Nail art techniques and chose colours that would fit with the bubble charms nicely.
Firstly I applied the base coats, for the leopard bow nail I used Claire's Copper Shimmer nail varnish in two coats and waited for it to dry; while doing so on the other nail I applied two coats of Claire's LightPurple varnish.

When the copper shimmer was dry I applied only a small dot of the nail glue I was provided with, onto the nail and then gently applied the Bubble Charm bow to near the nail edge. The glue began to set quite fast and seriously only a small drop was needed!

For the Pink Dove Oval bubble charm, when the base coat of varnish was dry, I used Claire's two way nail art pen and brush in both black and white. Using long strokes I created this effect and allowed it to dry, to then apply at an angle the glued bubble charm.

Overall Thoughts

Very impressed with these charms if your looking for something different to try then I would definitely recommend. Here are my main points on them -

  • Charms were actually smaller than I thought but are most suited for larger nails.
  • Can be used creatively with satisfactory results.
  • Reminds me very much of all things Kawaii!
  • Reasonably priced for quality, £1 for 2x charms.
  • Would preferably wear the charms on just the ring finger nails.
  • Fun and simple to apply using a small amount of nail glue.
  • Wonderful customer service and postage.
  • Many designs to choose from on their bubble charm category.

What do you think to these types of charms?
Would you try them to jazz up your nails?

  2. Ooooh this looks like so much fun!! Love your blog chick, it's very bright and girly! I like the fact that the charms are smaller than you thought, I think when they're too big they can look silly! Great post :) xx
