Make A Statement With Fervour&Allura ~ Review*

Statement Jewellery from Fervour&Allura
Review and Thoughts

I've been so excited to introduce this company to you all; I had come across them on Twitter and was delighted to be accepted to blog for them. Fervour&Allura produce beautiful statement pieces such as necklaces and even hair accessories that stand out from the rest.
I'm honored to give my thoughts and opinions on the following items and would like to state that these are 100% my own honest opinions and I have not been paid to say them.

----------------------------------------------

Grey Collar Necklace - £14.00

This piece completely caught my eye on their website; The stones are a pale grey with an almost lilac shade to them. I find the necklace quite light wearing and fits well with many outfits due to this cool tone. This necklace also reminds me of the 1950s era because of it's class and charm, to wear with a vintage dress would be perfect!

As you can see the diamond detailing is the perfect touch to this statement necklace, it reflects the light wonderfully making it a trend staple item to any collection.

----------------------------------------------

Peach and blue sapphire detail pendant - £12.00

Since the website had so many beautiful pieces to choose another item it was extremely tricky, but I feel the style and size of this necklace was something I've never seen before. The pendent is upon a deep silver chain, and can be altered to where fits most comfortable. I found the colours of the pendent unusual and unique, that work together very well for both a casual or evening look.
This would be perfect to start any statement necklace collection off, or as a special treat!

------------------

The items came wrapped in delicate tissue paper and a gorgeous sticker logo that added the finishing touch to such a wonderful package. Thank you to Fervour&Allura for this opportunity and for also providing my readers with 15% off your purchase on their site with the code - ELLIEF

Have a wonderful Wednesday lovelies!

Sparkle In The Fall ~ Product Review ~ BornPrettyStore*

Hello there lovelies! I'm thrilled to be bringing fresh new reviews for you all and to give a few style and item ideas for the autumn/winter months. BornPretty is an amazing store online which sells all things from nails to home and garden wares; I've enjoyed viewing the website and getting ideas for upcoming looks at an affordable price. This review is based on two Nail products which really caught my eye!

On the Left we have a Purple Holographic Nail Varnish and to the right is a Rhinestone flat back wheel with different sized decorations.

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

----------------------------------------------

Purple Holographic Holo Glitter Nail Polish 6ml

  • A 6ml sized product which is quite on the small side but a little of this varnish goes a long way!
  • The packaging is chic but with limited wording to it, yet I do like how both the logo and product size including the website is mentioned in a bold font easy to read.
  • For the varnish itself I was pleasantly surprised with the effect, It was my first holographic nail polish so I didn't know how much of an impact it could give overall; I felt that the soft purple shade was a perfect tone for the rainbow blast of glitter to stand out.
  • This is a long wearing varnish that remained on the nails up to a week before I noticed any signs of chipping.
  • I would recommend 2-3 coats of this polish per nail on top of a basecoat, or a 1 coat layer over another varnish shade would be ideal for added sparkle to any manicure!
  • The consistency of the polish wasn't at all thick or too runny, with no noticeable streaks through the application.
  • Overall I adore this nail effect and I hope Bornpretty would make a larger sized version in the future!

----------------------------------------------

2mm/3mm/4mm/5mm Mini Colorful Rhinestone wheel

  • This is a perfect tool to use when you want to add any rhinestones to your nails, whether they'd be natural or artificial they adhere to the surface with a simple basecoat.
  • I love the fact that the rhinestones come in a variety of sizes from small to large and set out in their own compartments, making it easier to select with the turn table cover that reveals each section at a time.
  • The rhinestones are flat backed which helps them cling to the polish better with a topcoat to seal them into position once the base coat has dried.
  • When the light catches, the hues of the rhinestones really show through at different angles, almost a rainbow effect which looks beautiful.
  • With having the 4 different sizes there is something for any nail shape and size so the creations you can make from these are endless!
Experimenting with the rhinestones!

----------------------------------------------
I'd love to hear your thoughts about these products or any you may have seen from Bornpretty's website! Enjoy creating works of art on your nails and stand out this season!

Now you may or may not know that it's not only Businesses which I feature, But it's the amazing bloggers like yourselves which I bring into view as I feel we all deserve to be seen. I was contacted quite recently by a lovely lady named Inês whom has started her blog this year; she works as a freelance writer for travel agencies and blogs and her own blog is full of positive posts covering different topics and breathtaking images too.

I'd love to give her a warm welcome to the blogging scene and introduce you to her blog, PrettyLittleThingsxo

-------------------------------------------------------

Interview with Inês l Owner of PrettyLittleThingsxo

1) What has been your key inspiration to beginning your blog?

I've always loved writing so I've kept blogs and diaries over the years. Pretty Little Things is different though. I realized I wanted to start focusing on the pretty things in life - whether that was through photography, travel, fashion, fitness. There's beauty in everything and that's what inspired me to create this blog.

2) What do you enjoy the most about blogging?
I just love creating! Whether that's writing a new blog post, putting together an infographic, editing new photos to put up - the whole creation/creative process gets me all excited and happy inside! And connecting with fellow bloggers - that has definitely been super fun and rewarding.
3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' blog moment?
My blog is only a few months old but I think my proudest moment so far was when I decided to get my own domain. It was a huge moment for me that really confirmed that this blog is a serious project for me that I want to continue to pursue.
4) Where do you see yourself and blog develop in the future?
I definitely want to keep blogging! I see big things happening for Pretty Little Things. For now, I want to focus on growing my readership and honing in on a few niche areas that I can improve on. But I'm working really hard to make sure PLT is here to stay! :)
5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the blogging path like yourself?
NETWORK! That is the word. Connect with fellow bloggers, join blogging communities, get involved in Twitter chats, chat with your readers - not only is that all super fun, but you'll also possibly make new friends and in the end it will all be helpful for your blog as well.
6) Which would you say is your favorite type of blog post to do?
My travel posts have been my old time favorite type of blog post. I just love looking back at the fun times I had and editing cool photos to post on the blog! But I definitely also love my workout posts - that's something that I've started more recently and I've been having a lot of fun with it.
7) 3 Must have beauty items you couldn't be without!
Oooh! My Clinique foundation, Clean&Clear Daily Scrub, and L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil.

*NEW* Feature Friday - Fox + Stag 3rd of October

New Feature Friday!
Featuring Fox + Stag

Happy Friday to you all! I hope all has been well with you as we now transition into Autumn, seems the summer days have just flown by. I'm excited to introduce this company I have come across, and feel as a fashionista their pieces are different from the rest, with staple pieces that will turn heads for sure! Fox and Stag was born from the salt marshes of Essex, Massachusetts and the concrete sprawl of Los Angeles. Their fashion displays American street couture that's affordable style that's not afraid to get dirty!
I'm honored to have interviewed the very talented Johnathan Woodman who formed Fox and stag and is also the Fashion designer. I hope you enjoy this interesting and informative interview as much as I did.

 ----------------------------------------------------

Interview with Johnathan Woodman l Owner of Fox + Stag and Fashion Designer

1) What has been your key inspiration to your current career?
My inspiration for designing Fox + Stag fashion aesthetics definitely all goes back to my roots of the East Coast. I was raised on the East Coast, but spread my wings on the West Coast. After moving back about a year ago, my designs have been inspired by the East Coast tradition, structure and good ol yankee spirit. However, it's hard to leave behind a bit of the West Coast flare so that has been thrown into my designs as well.

2) What do you enjoy the most about your job?
As a Fashion Designer & Tailor, I definitely agree with the saying “If you love your job, you never work a day in your life.” Therefore, I would have to say that what I enjoy most about my job is being able to create and transform my vision into a reality. I design and build everything from the ground up. From sourcing materials to making patterns, and building prototypes, I get to have my hands on everything which is rewarding within itself.

3) To date, what has been your 'proudest' moment?
To date, my 'proudest' moment would be 9 years ago when I became a father to my son. Starting Fox + Stag has been great, but not much is going to top having a son....But I am getting married in 2 days so that might come close!

4) Where do you see yourself in the future?
In the future I see Fox + Stag being a new staple for quality made products that allows me to live on a ranch with my wife and son.

5) What tips/advice would you give to someone who wants to go down the same career path as yourself?
My biggest piece of advice for someone who is starting out on a new venture as a Fashion Designer/Tailor would definitely be to make sure that you absolutely love the fashion industry and every step of the design and production process. If you have passion for your work, then the projects and obstacles that come your way will never be a burden to get completed but more as something to look forward to.

6) Which would you say is your favorite item from your shop at the moment?
My favorite item in my shop currently is the Dr. Jones bag. It is stylish and classy, while at the same time sturdy, durable and versatile. The Dr. Jones bag is more than just a fashion accessory, it has the functionality to do more than just look good. Whether you use it to load up tools for a weekend of camping or a trusty spot for your Macbook Pro during the week, it always comes in handy!
However, my favorite item is subject to change because I will be launching a new Fox + Stag Iphone 6 case along with some new winter bags which I am so excited about! Stay tuned by following us on Twitter and Facebook!

 ----------------------------------------------------

 ----------------------------------------------------

Wishing you all an amazing weekend, if you get some free time check out Fox + Stag on their platforms more details of their items can be found on Twitter which is regularly updated.
Also a massive thank you to Johnathan and his team for allowing myself and my readers to get a closer in-look to the company and items and I wish you all the very best with your business!

Cath Kidston Inspired Water Decal Nail-Art ~ BornPretty*

Step by Step and review of
BornPretty Water Nail-decals

Hello there beauties! Hope you're all having a great week! I was contacted by BornPretty, a company which sells a wide range of products from nail art to Home and garden wear; To review their water nail-decals for you all. Of course as a adorer of nail art I happily accepted the opportunity and will show you step by step on how to use these decals and create a look inspired by the prints of Cath Kidston.

Water nail-decal application step by step

1- Firstly I chose my base varnish, for this look I used MAC's Glamour Daze - In the Limelight, which is a cool toned mint shade with a cream finish. I applied this to the nail and allowed it to dry evenly, I found two coats left a even base cover to apply the decals onto.

2-  After the varnish was dry, I then removed the nail decal sheet from the packaging, ensuring then I had a small sized dish to place in cool water which will be used for the application.

3- I then used a pair of scissors to cut out the desired parts that I would be using for the nail. In this case I cut out two of the patterns, one large and the other was smaller. I then peeled off the sheet and carefully dipped the first pattern into the small dish of water for around 10-15 seconds.

4-  After the decal is moistened I placed the patterned side onto the nail, which resulted to the paper backing to easily glide off which can then be disposed, leaving the pattern on the nail and to then lightly dab the excess water off with a paper towel.

5- Repeat the same process with the smaller decal ensuring all water has been absorbed from application of the nail.

6- Once you're happy with the decal's position and it has been patted dry, the last step is to seal in the design using a top coat varnish! Allow for it to fully dry and then the final look is complete.

I found using these decals very simple and such an easy go-to product whenever you want something quick and effective. At the affordable price with a wide arrange of designs and colours, BornPretty will keep you on-top of the nail trends every season.
Delivery of the product was quick and sent within simple packaging with no breakages or complications. I would highly recommend this website to anyone and if you like these step by step posts then do let me know within the comments section for more of them to come!

A big thanks also to BornPretty for giving my readers 10% off their order by just using the code -  EC10K31
